I think it's an Indian

While spending time with my mother and going through her old photographs, she found a small photo of her father, my grandfather, sitting on his bike. She never knew him, as he was killed in WWII when she was an infant. I'm not sure what kind of bike this is, I wish I knew more about it. Any ideas?

I do miss my old KTM.

But at least I know it's been in good hands.

Which One Loves Me More?

This time of year is a time of choice: which to ride before the first autumn snow flies? One makes me stronger the more I ride it, but also is sort of a ball and chain. The other makes me feel like I should be riding the first more. When I am riding the second, I'm not riding the first, and this is cause for concern. But it is also like an escape pod. I guess it's ok to love them both, and they'll both love me back.

I Got Brakes

Finally got the Avid Ultimate Shortys set up. Nice to have a rear brake that actually works. Very easy to set up, if you follow their directions and use the proper washers provided for 22mm brake posts. Can't wait to go for a ride.

Nasty Ass Snapping Turtle

Rains of biblical proportions brought out this snapping turtle from its murky lair in the small pond behind my parents' house. Apparently it's crossing a few suburban lawns and a busy neighborhood road in Connecticut on its way to a small creek. Don't let this pic fool you. I'd estimate the shell alone is about 30" long. When its neck is out, and with the prehistoric spiked tail trailing behind, this is a large beast!
